Ashburnham offers total relaxation in fabulously beautiful natural surroundings, truly “A Little Piece of Paradise”. The House is located under an hour’s drive north of Kandy, close to the village of Elkaduwa, on the 75 acre Ashburnham Estate, a working tea estate.

Our location is between Kandy, with its famous Temple of the Tooth and nearby botanical gardens, and the “Cultural Triangle”, of Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa and Anuradhapura. On an inland tour of Sri Lanka, it is therefore easy to include the need to travel up to Nuwara Eliya. This is a major advantage as travel times in Sri Lanka are often longer than expected.
