The kalamatiya stretch of the beach is a nesting beach for turtles. Though the turtles have survived for millions of years, today only 1 in 1000 hatchlings survived to be a breeding age adult.

With unprecedented threats for the survival ,they now need a helping hand from their human neibours to increase the odds of their survival .Turtle bay funds a scientifically managed nesting area operated by the wild life rangers.

As a tribute these remarkable creatures, a true symbol of endurance and resilience from the pre-historic days, the villa named turtle bay and the 7 rooms are named after 7 surviving species.
